🚨 15 Young Lives Saved: Rajasthan Police Crack Down on Child Trafficking Gang
In a major operation against child trafficking, Rajasthan Police have rescued 15 minor girls and arrested 11 accused, including three brokers from Mumbai, in Jhalawar district. The action followed a Special Investigation Team's crackdown on an alleged interstate trafficking racket. Jhalawar Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar said the gang primarily targeted poor and indebted families from the Kanjar community by promising jobs and financial assistance for their daughters. Investigators allege that the girls were kept under the gang's control and were eventually intended to be sold into prostitution in cities such as Mumbai. Most of the rescued children are between four and five years old. Police have booked the accused under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act and are examining bank transactions and properties linked to the network. Authorities also suspect forged Aadhaar cards were used to portray the minors as adults. The rescue has brought hope to families and highlighted the urgent need for vigilance against crimes targeting children.
